Zeinab Saleh’s paintings inhabit the formal and sensorial concerns of atmosphere. Her paintings are predominantly prompted by encounters with moving image and musical recordings, and the immaterial sensorium arisen from material encounters. Saleh extracts pictorial material from these sources, translating visual cues––along with notional and vibrational gestures––from rhythmic, moving formats.
